Deliverance Ministry
"For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power" (dynamics). 1 Corinthians 4:20 (NKJV)
As you read the pages of the book of Acts you find many examples of the church operating in power ministries. The apostles were simply modeling the continuance of the signs and wonders characteristic of the days when they were with Jesus. Healing's and deliverance's from demons would be commonplace in the life of the Jerusalem church.
The place of power ministries in evangelism and missionary work is no less needed today than it was in the first century. We are living in what may well be the years of the final thrust of world evangelization. Although some may question such a sweeping statement, there is evidence to show that virtually everything we read about in the book of Acts is being reported from many parts of the world today, and the frequency and drama of such tangible manifestations of God's power seem to be increasing almost daily. While the Holy Spirit is moving in many ways, two examples of power ministries are deliverance and healing.
