Welcome to our website! Our Vision at The Prayer Nation "Take my yoke upon you, carry your cross daily and fallow me, putting your hand to the plow" Jesus Christ Leonidas Constable, D.D., D.Min. Is there an answer from God to the sexual crisis we are facing? "A noted Christian therapist developed a forum for clergy struggling with sexual addiction. The therapist's main piece of advice: come clean. Dr. Harry W. Schaumburg specializes in the treatment of sexual addiction and heads a facility, Stone Gate, in Colorado that has drawn over 2,000 laity and clergy from the U.S. and around the world. Following last year's sex scandal of prominent evangelical Ted Haggard, Schaumburg's latest effort is a one-day forum called Clergy Link. With the support of Promise Keepers, the nation's largest men's ministry, and Focus on the Family, one of the most influential Christian organizations promoting traditional families, Clergy Link addresses the widespread struggle of pornography and related behaviors. "We're in a real crisis," Schaumburg told an audience of 170 pastors at Crossroads Church in Thornton, Colo., on Monday, according to Rocky Mountain News. "Sexual sin is something that’s done in secret, but when God exposes, it’s in the broad daylight." The therapist warned clergy, who came from evangelical, mainline and Catholic churches, that those hiding sexual sin would be discovered, guaranteed. "So I am begging you - come forward now." His talk comes months after Haggard was let go from his lead pastoral role at the 14,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs. A former male prostitute had alleged that Haggard paid him for sex and drugs for three years. Haggard, who also resigned as head of the National Association of Evangelicals, confessed to "sexual immorality" and to purchasing methamphetamine, but said he did not use it. Weeks after Haggard stepped down, another New Life pastor admitted to sexual misconduct and resigned in December. Christopher Beard headed the "twentyfourseven" ministry that taught leadership skills to young adults, and told church officials about misconduct with another unmarried adult several years ago. "Pastors are set up (for temptation) because the job is lonely, they often meet with a lack of gratitude and appreciation, and they neglect their personal life and marriages," Schaumburg told Rocky Mountain News. He added that clergy are tempted to take sexual advantage of vulnerable admirers and pride and arrogance that comes with the job allows sexual addiction to take hold. Reports have indicated that sexual addiction is the most prevalent addictions in the United States. As much as 50 percent of lay men and clergy said they viewed porn within the past year, as of May 2006, and an estimated 8-10 percent of the U.S. population are sex addicts, according to Mike Richards, Jr., director of Recovery Ministries for International Bible Society (IBS). IBS released a new resource - The Journey of Recovery - last year that presents real accounts from people who struggled with addiction. Humility, Schaumburg says, is essential to sexual recovery." Or this other article a few years old, HERE WE GO AGAIN: SEX ASSAULT 12 BOYS / 1 GIRLYes there is an even better answer from God, The best there is... The Impartation of the Virginity of ChristRomans 1:11 For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established.
1Thessalonias 2:8 “Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.”
In these Scriptures God through the Apostle Paul affirms that he and his companions had in fact imparted or transmitted “…the gospel of God but also”…their “…own lives”. What we have as our life’s influence, we will transmit or impart to others.
1 Corinthians 2:6-8 6 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. 7 But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1Thessalonians 1:4, 5 “Knowing, brethren beloved by God, His choice of you; for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction…”
The gospel of God, His Word, does not come in words only but in power, in the Holy Spirit and in full conviction. We could combine these to say: the alteration of life and identity by the dynamics of God’s Holy life in us by the creative power of the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:3-4 3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. 4 And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
God’s power activated in us causes the deactivation of the passionate cravings of the flesh by the experiential and impartational knowledge of Him who called us to share His own nature.
“IMPART: (Rom. 1:11): To give, share, impart, distribute, grant. The word implies liberality or generosity. It is used to exhort those with two outer tunics to give one to someone who has none (Luke 3:11); to encourage people to give with cheerful outflow (Rom. 12:8); and to urge workers to labor with industry in order to give to him who has a need (Eph. 4:28)”
We see in these Scriptures that one imparts of that which he or she has, and it is received by others. “Impartation: To bestow a quality on or into; to confer a characteristic on someone or something else that either enhances the same in the other or becomes part or all of the other from that point on.”
What exactly do we mean by the 'Virginity of Christ'?
Is not the process of a sexually active person attempting to regain ‘virgin status’ by abstaining from sexual relations, esp. during the time just before marriage; also called secondary virginity, revirgination; this is not what we mean by the impartation of the Virginity of Christ to the believer.
Nor do we mean what some call ‘second virginity’, a term some times used by chastity and sexual abstinence advocates to refer to a state of having pledged to refrain from sexual intercourse (or all sexual activity) in the future despite having been sexually active in the past. Secondary virginity may be adopted by unmarried converts to a religion that condemns premarital sex. Even though it is an agreeable principle, this is not what we mean by the impartation of the Virginity of Christ into the believer.
Nor do we mean to advocate the concept of celibacy that certain groups promote as a form of sheer imitation to Christ that most of the time lacks the very life of Christ for its attainment. It is sheer human devotion: Colossians 2:8, 18-23 “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God. If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, "Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!" (which all refer to things destined to perish with use)--in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.”
The Virginity of Christ is His own ability to live a sexual life that is perfectly pleasing to God, single or married. Is the impartation into us of His own glorified sexuality, His sexual self-image, His sexual consciousness and His sexual identity, His Own sexual life; the impartation of the divine nature of Christ’s resurrection life. So much so that in spite of any promiscuous past, or the present evil age, or the power of the carnal nature, or the demons of sexual perversion and the spiritual strongholds of ‘Jezebel’ and of ‘the Great whore’ revealed in the Book of Revelation that are at work in the world today; that in spite of sexual and emotional traumas and of any other created order, visible or invisible, WE CAN LIVE PERFCTLY HOLY LIVES SEXUALLY, IN ACCORDANCE TO GOD’S PERFECT PROVISION THRUOGH THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS ON THE CROSS; THE FULL PROVISION OF GOD’S OWN ESTIMATION AND EFFECTIVE APPLICATION OF THE VALUE AND INHERENT POWER OF THE BLOOD OF CHRIST IN US.
The anointing (or impartaional Spirit) of the Virginity of Christ sets us free to experience the whole sexual phenomena, free from this world’s influence, free from our own sinful sexual past, and free from demonic powers, so we can live in the full consciousness of Christ’s sexuality.
Ephesians 4:13-16 "13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love."
A more exact definition: The correct knowledge and clear understanding of the facts and truths about the Substitutional Sacrificial Death of God in human form, and our complete identification and assimilation of its implications as our ultimate reality, will qualify us to receive the impartation of the resurrection life of Christ at the depth and level the iniquity of our sexual sins require for the full imputation of the Virginity of Christ to the believer in His everyday life.
A more simple definition: Delving into the ‘wounds' Christ received for our sexual sins until we attain the virginity of His resurrection life.
The proper faith in our position in Christ (as virgins) to benefit from His sacrifice.
Most true Christians believe that God can raise the dead and that there is nothing impossible for God; will anyone consider it impossible for God to reverse the deformity that sexual sin causes in humans, if we ask Him? Is there an antidote, any divine therapy or tool to cause God’s life to manifest in us? There is a group of Jews in the book of Revelation that will be kept by God in a state of virginity. He is the same God and the same Christ we believe in and love. Will God refuse to give us anything provided for us in Christ’s Sacrifice at the Cross?
Revelations 14:4-5 "4 It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb, 5 and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless." This is the whole revelation of God through the Apostle Paul, the divine vision of us sexually, not just to be virgins, as this previews Scripture reveals, but to be presented as a pure virgin to Christ, endowed with His Own Virginity. Nothig else will suffice.
2 Corinthians 11:2-3 "For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ (i.e., the attitudes, conditions and spirit of a virgin in expectation of her betrothed bridegrom)."
